Veggie Wash Anyone?

June 1, 2012

VEGGIE WASH? aka “Produce Wash” – do you use it??

After listening to a blurb on NPR about 5 years ago, I loaded up a spray bottle with 1/4 vinegar to water. I keep it under my sink, handy for washing purchased fruit and vegetables. Plain water is often sufficient for rinsing havest, production and storage residue, but I feel all competent and cool with my homemade veggie wash brew. As you prepare all of those “rainbow” salad ingredients Jessica talked about in Class #1, you may want to check out the entire NPR segment.
